Carl Gustav Model 96 6.5×55mm Swedish Mauser Rifle is an original Swedish military bolt-action service rifle, part of the well-known Model 1896 Mauser family. This historic example has been permanently rendered inert for collection and display. Its accompanying gunsmith's certificate identifies the manufacturer as Carl Gustav, the model as 96 and the original calibre as 6.5×55mm.
The M/96 pattern is recognisable for its full-length military woodwork, straight bolt handle and ladder-style rear sight. This example displays the patina and handling marks expected of an older military collectable.
